Harriette Moore, born on June 19, 1902, in West Palm Beach, Florida, was an American educator and civil rights worker. She was the wife of Harry T. Moore, who founded the first branch of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) in Brevard County, Florida, and served as the state chapter president. Harriette Moore was also involved in the civil rights movement, working alongside her husband. On December 25, 1951, the Moores were victims of a bombing by the Ku Klux Klan at their home in Mims, Florida. Harry T. Moore died on his way to the hospital, and Harriette Moore died from her injuries nine days later[5].
