Ulric Cross was a Trinidadian jurist, diplomat, and Royal Air Force (RAF) squadron leader. He was one of the most decorated West Indian airmen in the RAF during World War II. After the war, he had a long and distinguished career as a jurist and diplomat, serving as a High Court Judge of Tanzania and Trinidad and Tobago, and as Trinidad and Tobago’s High Commissioner to the United Kingdom and Ambassador to Germany and France. He was also a member of the International Court of Justice. His life and contributions are celebrated in the documentary film “Hero: Inspired by the Extraordinary Life and Times of Mr. Ulric Cross”[1][2].
