Deion Sanders, also known as “Prime Time” and “Neon Deion,” is a former professional football and baseball player and current head football coach at the University of Colorado Boulder. Sanders is the only athlete to play in both a Super Bowl and a World Series. He played college football for the Florida State Seminoles, winning the Jim Thorpe Award as a senior. Sanders was selected by the Atlanta Falcons fifth overall in the 1989 NFL Draft and played football primarily at cornerback, while also making appearances as a return specialist and wide receiver. During his career, he was named to eight Pro Bowls, received six first-team All-Pros, and won two Super Bowl titles. Sanders also played nine seasons in Major League Baseball (MLB) with the New York Yankees, the Atlanta Braves, the Cincinnati Reds, and the San Francisco Giants. He was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame and the College Football Hall of Fame in 2011. After retiring as a player, Sanders pursued a sports analyst and coaching career, serving as the head football coach at Jackson State University from 2020 to 2022 before moving to the University of Colorado Boulder
